Tungsten ore is a super important resource in Once Human if you want to craft the coolest, strongest weapons and armor. It lets you make things that will really help you beat tough enemies and take on the biggest challenges in the game. Finding tungsten ore can be a little tricky, but this guide will show you where to find Tungsten Ore in Once Human and everything that you need to know
Where To Find Tungsten Ore
First, Tungsten Ore isn’t around your starting area. You’ll need to travel to the Red Sands, its a desert north of Iron River a tough place with strong enemies. Make sure you’re level 40 or higher and have good armor and health supplies. Maybe bring a friend too!
Make sure you’re at least level 40 before you go there.
Regular pickaxes can’t mine Tungsten. You’ll need a special one called an Alloy Pickaxe. To make this, you’ll need Aluminum Ingots, which you can also find in the Red Sands. Craft the Alloy Pickaxe at a workbench before you head out.
Materials Needed:
- 10x Aluminum Ingots: You’ll need to mine Aluminum Ore, which is also found in the Red Sands alongside Tungsten Ore. Luckily, a regular pickaxe can mine Aluminum.
- 7x Steel Ingots: Steel requires Iron Ore and Coal to be smelted. Iron Ore is much more common than Aluminum and can be found in earlier areas.
- 3x Rawhide: Defeat animals or harvest hides from creatures you encounter to collect Rawhide.
You can’t craft the Alloy Pickaxe at any basic workbench. You’ll need an Intermediate Supplies Workbench. These are usually found in settlements or outposts around the world, especially in areas players frequent after the early game.
Finding Tungsten Ore can be tricky. It looks a little different than other ores, kind of like a darker shade of gray. Once you see it a few times, you’ll spot it easily.
The Red Sands is where you’ll find Tungsten, but some areas have more than others. Here are a few good places to check:
- South of the Red Sands: Look near the Iron River for Tungsten deposits.
- Curiosity Catchers Help: Buy a Curiosity Catcher (it’s in the Memetics menu). This gadget highlights rare ores like Tungsten, making your search much faster.
Once you have your Tungsten Ore, use an Electric Smelter to turn it into ingots. With those ingots, you can craft awesome weapons and armor in Once Human world!
