To start the Conflict in Conviction quest, go to House Veth’aal. This is where your quest begins. When you arrive, you will meet important characters like Viktor, Vitoria, and Luther.

As you talk with the Veth’aal family, pay close attention to what they say. They talk about their son, Vaeric, who is missing. Viktor wants you to kill Vaeric and bring back his ring, while Vitoria hopes that Vaeric can be saved. You must choose which side to support during this emotional conflict.

Find Vaeric At Herald’s Rest

After your conversation at House Veth’aal, your next stop is Herald’s Rest. Here, you will meet Egbo Kazmi, a character who knows where Vaeric might be. Talk with Egbo to learn about Tane, who can help you find Vaeric.

Once you finish talking with Egbo, Tane will show up soon after. You need to give him some Credits so he can help you. Following Tane’s advice is very important for finding Vaeric.

Your search will take you through different places where you need to collect items that help track down Vaeric. Listen carefully to Tane’s instructions as they are key for moving forward in the quest.

Look For Clues and Items

As you keep looking for Vaeric, head towards the Abandoned Camp located northwest of Dazra. At this camp, you must find several important items:

  • Vaeric’s Camp Log: This log gives details about his activities.
  • Footprints: These lead away from the camp.
  • Bloodstains: These show that a struggle happened.
  • Vortex Spawn: A part of a defeated enemy that can give clues.

Once you gather these items, be ready for an attack by Foul Vortex Horror enemies that might show up. Defeating these enemies is necessary to move forward in your quest.

After handling the attack, follow the mission marker until you reach Irina’s Farm. Here, Irina will tell you that Vaeric is nearby at a place called Apostate’s Farm.

Talk To Vaeric and Make a Choice

When you arrive at Apostate’s Farm, search the building carefully. Look for Vaeric’s Computer and read its logs for more information about his situation. You should also find Vaeric’s Log on a table upstairs that shows his thoughts and feelings.

After gathering this information, talk with Tane outside. Soon after your conversation, Vaeric will appear. He will ask for your help and explain why he left home and what he wants for his future.

At this moment, you face an important decision:

  • You can choose to kill Vaeric to make Viktor happy.
  • You can spare him and ask for 10,000 Credits for his freedom while taking his ring as proof of death.
  • You can also try to convince him to go back home without any violence.

Choosing to spare him or persuade him leads to a better outcome for everyone involved. If you spare him, use the ring as proof when talking to Viktor.

Finish The Quest and See What Happens

After making your choice about what to do with Vaeric, go back to House Veth’aal to tell Viktor and Vitoria what happened. If you killed Vaeric or spared him while getting his ring, Viktor will react based on what you did.

If you persuaded Vaeric to return home safely, everyone involved will feel happy with this ending. This choice leads to a peaceful outcome where no one gets hurt by your decisions.

Each decision changes the story significantly, so think carefully about what you want as an outcome.
